Roger
McGuinn of The Byrds
May 9 7:30 pm Roger McGuinn was already a veteran of New York and Los Angeles music scenes when in 1964 he co-founded the group that would become the Byrds with Gene Clark and David Crosby. Over the next several years, the Byrds blended traditional folk music with rock and roll and recorded such hits as “Mr. Tambourine Man” and “Turn Turn Turn.” Since then, McGuinn has been touring solo and recently released “The Folk Den Project,” a 100-song box CD set of rock, electrified blues and folk music.
