The exhibition nma@selu showcases student and faculty work from the New Media and Animation Program in the Department of Visual Arts at Southeastern Louisiana University. With a focus on digital technologies, the New Media and Animation Program provides students an opportunity to explore contemporary methods of and platforms for creative expression within a fine arts context. The student work in the exhibition reflects course work from all levels in the program. Professors John Valentino and Edward Morin are exhibiting projects representing their current artistic endeavors within the discipline. Work featured in the exhibition encompasses a range of media formats, including print, video, sound design, animation, kinetic sculpture, 3D rapid prototyping, and interactive multimedia. (Opening reception is Friday, September 11, 6-8 pm.)
