“Leadership Lessons from Ulysses S. Grant”
Southeastern’s military historian will argue that Ulysses S. Grant, one of America’s preeminent generals, was not born a great commander. Instead, he developed his leadership abilities through experience and conscious effort. Laver’s examination of Grant’s early career recounts how he became a great general while revealing practical leadership lessons for today’s aspiring leaders in any field, including the military, business, sports, and the classroom.
