L’Histoire d’Adèle H. is 1975 film which tells the story of the real-life Adèle Hugo, starring Isabelle Adjani (nominated as Best Actress). Adèle is the daughter of writer Victor Hugo, whose obsessive unrequited love for a naval officer led to her downfall. The film is based on her diaries. (Rated PG-13. 96 minutes.)

Astronaut Robert “Hoot” Gibson

From light piston aircraft to thundering World War II fighters to supersonic jets to the space shuttle, Robert “Hoot” Gibson has flown 108 types of flying machines so far. A graduate of California Polytechnic State University with a degree in aeronautical engineering, and of the Naval Fighter Weapons School, this “topgun” has won countless military awards, including the Distinguished Flying Cross. With NASA, Gibson participated in five space flights, including the Columbia, the Atlantis and the Endeavor and has completed a total of 36 1/2 days in space. He was recently featured on the cover of the Smithsonian’s Air & Space magazine.
