Electroluminescent crayon-like creatures light up the night in this heart rending tale, created by Ian Carney and Corbin Popp, who met while dancing in Twyla Tharp’s Broadway show Movin’ Out. Professor Henslow, a scientist with magical powers, creates a wild and primitive creature, Darwin. Though his creator teaches him to take his first steps, Darwin’s animal instincts eventually take over and he succumbs to his predatory nature. Realizing he is in danger, Henslow must give Darwin a heart, teaching him love and compassion for other beings.
