Spring Volunteer Luncheon

The Columbia Theatre relies heavily on the time and talents of our many volunteers to help us operate on a day to day basis. From ushers, to committee members, these enthusiastic volunteers have become a vital part of the Columbia family.
 
On Tuesday, April 22, the Columbia threw a celebratory luncheon for over 70 individuals who continuously offer their services to the theatre. Donna Gay Anderson, Director, recognized the various groups such as ushers, benefit committee members and those that offered hospitality for Fanfare performers. Southeastern Louisiana University President Randy Moffett also spoke to the crowd in the Columbia lobby and was appreciative of everyone's efforts.
 
Ms. Anderson also paid a special tribute to the Columbia's loyal Administrative Assistant, Betsy Creel, who retired in June. Her 10 years of service with the theatre have been greatly appreciated, and we know that many of our patrons were just as sad when she left.
