The Columbia Theatre relies heavily on the time and talents of our many volunteers to help us operate on a day to day basis. From being an usher, to serving on a committee, you can be a vital part of the Columbia family!

There are many ways to support the Columbia through volunteering your time, talents and enthusiasm:
Ushers
Ushers are Columbia Theatre ambassadors and play a large part in the success of performances and the overall experience for our patrons. Open to anyone interested in supporting the Columbia and providing exemplary customer service, ushering duties include:
- taking tickets
- handing out programs
- assisting patrons to their seats
- accepting coats in the cloak room
- answering questions
For more information on becoming a Columbia usher, contact Christie Gardiner, Logistics Coordinator, at 985-543-4366 or cgardiner@selu.edu
Fanfare Hospitality
Being a hospitality volunteer includes driving artists to and from airports, coordinating special events and/or hosting out of town artists while they are visiting.
Benefit Committee
The Columbia Theatre Benefit Committee plans the semi-annual benefit that raises funds for the Columbia’s programming efforts. From a black-tie ball to a special performance complete with champagne and chocolates, this is the committee for you if you like to plan a party for a good cause!

Other volunteer opportunities may arise depending on the needs of a particular season. If none of the above opportunities are of interest to you, please check back at a later date.
