Open Auditions

Calling all actors ages 8 and older to audition for our upcoming production of A Christmas Carol!

Auditions will be held at The Columbia Theatre for the Performing Arts. 220 East Thomas Street, Hammond from 4pm-7pm on August 24 and 25. You only need to come to one of those days.

Auditions will consist of a cold reading and a brief vocal audition, since we’re going to sing a lot of Christmas carols in this show.  

For the vocal audition:

• Please come prepared to sing one of the six Christmas Carols included in the link below.   One verse and one chorus is all you need to prepare. Don’t put a lot of pressure on yourself.  We just want to hear you sing a   Christmas carol. Plus not everyone in the show sings or has to sing wonderfully. It is not a musical.
• There will be an accompanist on piano that will play your carol for you to sing along to.

If you are called back, call backs will be held from 5-8pm on August 26.
